Privacy Policy

The short version

We only collect what you choose to send us. That's your name, email and message if you use our contact form, or your email and region if you sign up for launch updates. We use it to reply to you and to tell you when we launch. We don't use cookies or tracking, and we never sell your information.

Who we are

Lucid Cocktails is a ready-to-drink cocktail company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Lucid Cocktails. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through lucidcocktails.ca.

What we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address and message.
• Launch updates: your email address, your region if you choose to share it, and a record that you confirmed you're 19 or older and agreed to receive launch emails.
• Age confirmation: when you confirm you're of legal drinking age, your browser remembers it for the current visit so you aren't asked again. This stays on your device, isn't sent to us, and is cleared when you close your browser.
• Basic technical information: like almost every website, our host automatically records details such as your IP address and browser type when you visit, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

We don't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

How we use it

• To reply to messages you send us.
• To send you launch updates, if you signed up for them.
• To understand which parts of British Columbia are most interested, so we know where to focus first.
• To keep the website running and secure.

We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we won't use it for any other purpose without asking you first.

Launch emails and unsubscribing

We only send launch emails to people who signed up and agreed to receive them. Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask to be removed at any time by emailing hello@lucidcocktails.ca, and we'll remove you within 10 business days.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run our website and email:

• Netlify, which hosts this website, receives form submissions and screens them for spam.
• Microsoft, which provides our business email, where messages and form notifications are delivered.

These providers only use your information to provide their services to us. If we start using a new service to send launch updates, we'll update this policy first. We may also disclose information if we're required to by law.

Where your information is stored

Our service providers may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, your information is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts and authorities.

How long we keep it

• Contact messages: for as long as we need to respond and follow up, then deleted.
• Launch updates list: until you unsubscribe, or until we no longer need it to tell people about our launch.

Keeping it secure

This site uses a secure connection (HTTPS), we use established providers, and only the people who need your information to respond to you can access it. No way of sending or storing information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

Age requirement

This website is for people of legal drinking age, 19 or older in British Columbia. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 19. If you believe someone under 19 has sent us information, let us know and we'll delete it.

Links to other sites

Our site links to Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and map services. Once you leave our site, their privacy policies apply, not ours.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it. Email hello@lucidcocktails.ca and we'll respond within 30 days.
